Tonight the Irish representative for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021 will be chosen.
The final of Junior Eurovision Éire takes place this evening, with three singers vying to represent Ireland in Paris. Lilyella Buckley and Sophie Lennon were chosen by the jury to go directly into the final tonight while Maiú Levi Lawlor won the final duel in last week’s Semi-Final.
Each of the finalists this evening will perform twice for the jury, with two singers being chosen to go into the final duel. In the final duel, the jury will select the singer who will represent Ireland at Junior Eurovision 2021.
Ireland will return to Junior Eurovision this year after withdrawing in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Their last participation in the contest was in 2019, when Anna Kearney represented the country with “Banshee”.
