Reports in the Catalan media suggest that Liet International will be held this year as an online-only competition.
Infoanoia and Enderrock report that Roger Argemí who was due to compete in Liet International 2020, has recorded a performance for the 2021 edition of the competition. According to the reports, the recording of his performance took place on September 25 and will feature in a show to be broadcast soon.
According to Infoanoia the participants will connect from their countries via video conference to a TV studio in Leeuwarden, Netherlands. This TV studio is likely Omrop Fryslân, who currently show in their schedule a Liet International broadcast on October 8. During the show, the video clips of the competing songs will be shown before a winner is decided.
Liet International has not publicly stated whether the 2021 contest is being held. If it is to be held a total of 20 acts are expected to participate formed of the participants who were due to compete in the 2020 contest:
