RTVE has announced that Eva Mora is the new Head of Delegation for Spain at the Eurovision Song Contest replacing Ana María Bordas.
Television presenter Eva Mora has been named as the new Head of Delegation for Spain at the Eurovision Song Contest. Ms. Mora replaces Ana María Bordas in the role, who is now the coordinator of a working group at RTVE for the contest.
Eva Mora has been working for RTVE since 2000 and has previously attended five editions of the Eurovision Song Contest between 2012 to 2016, she also commentated on Junior Eurovision 2020 and Eurovision: Europe Shine a Light.
RTVE has also revealed more details of a working group that has been created to design the Spanish national selection for Eurovision 2022. The working group is headed by Ana María Bordas and features:

- Head of Digital Documentary – César Vallejo
- Co-ordinator of Current Content on Playz – Irene Mahía

- Director of Musical Programs – Jordi Vives
- Eurovision commentator – Julia Varela
- Radio presenter – Virginia Díaz

Spain debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1961 and has competed annually since. Spain has won the contest on two occasions the first being in 1968 and the second time in 1969. 1969 is the only year where more than one song has won the contest. The 1969 contest saw a four-way tie between Spain, France, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. Since 2000 Spain has only managed to finish in the top 10 on five occasions, the last time being in 2014 with Ruth Lorenzo. However, the country has finished 20th or below on ten occasions, the worst placement being 26th in 2017.
