This year’s Icelandic Eurovision entrant Daði Freyr is going to release two brand new songs on May 22.
Following his second rehearsal at Eurovision 2021 Daði Freyr revealed he is set to released two new songs and a new remix of his participating song “10 Years”. The remix is said to be featuring one of his favourite bands although it is not known who will appear on the track.
The band Hot Chip has made a remix of their Eurovision song from last year, “Think About Things” so it is reported that they will be involved in the release.
After the second rehearsal of Daði & Gagnamagnið, Daði Freyr has announced that he is working on a big album that will be released in 2022.
Who is Daði & Gagnamagnið ?
Daði & Gagnamagnið will be representing Iceland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 with “10 Years”. The group had a worldwide hit last year with their entry for the canceled 2020 Eurovision Song Contest “Think About Things”.

Iceland debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1986 and, aside from 2 years of relegation in 1998 and 2002, has participated every year since. The contest is incredibly popular in Iceland, regularly being one of the most watched programmes of the year. Iceland has yet to win the contest but has finished in 2nd on two occasions. In 1999, Selma missed out on victory in Jerusalem by 17 points, and in 2009 Yohanna became the most successful Icelandic entrant ever finishing 2nd in the final with the song “Is it True?”. She scored 218 points, yet still finished 169 points behind the runaway winner Norway
