The Swedish preview show “Inför Eurovision Song Contest” will return next week in a new format.
The programme will not be broadcast on SVT, but it will be aired via the “Mello Tillsammans” (Mello Together) app, where viewers will have the opportunity to listen to all the entries and discuss the songs with their friends. Besides that, a panel of experts will give live commentary and interesting facts about each song.
Inför Eurovision Song Contest will consist of two shows before each Semi-Final: one on May 17th, and on May 19th. Both shows will start at 21.00 CET.
Sweden will be represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 in Rotterdam by Tusse who has won Melodifestivalen 2021 with the song “Voices”. He will perform in the first half of the first semi-final on May 18th.

Sweden debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1958 and has gone on to be one of the contest’s most successful countries. The country has won the contest six times, the most recent being in 2015. Sweden’s first victory came in 1974 when ABBA won the contest in Brighton with “Waterloo”. Since missing out on the final in 2010, Sweden has gone on to finish 3rd twice and has won the contest twice, only in 2013 did the country place outside of the top 10 in the final.
