BNT has confirmed this evening that they will be bringing the atmosphere of the music video for “Growing Up is Getting Old” to the Eurovision stage.
On Twitter this evening the Bulgarian broadcaster has confirmed that “the atmosphere will be in line with the official preview video” for the countries performance at the Eurovision Song Contest. They added that they will carry the colour palette of browns and gold to the contest stage.
Victoria will also have a number of props on and above the stage which according to BNT will “create a suitable atmosphere for thought and reflection”. There will be “rock, water and falling sand as main elements”.
Bulgaria has its first rehearsal at the Eurovision Song Contest tomorrow at 12:00 CEST, you can follow the coverage of the rehearsal live on Eurovoix.
Who is Victoria Georgieva?
Victoria was announced as the 2020 Bulgarian representative in November 2019 during an official press conference regarding the nation’s return to the Eurovision Song Contest. The 23-year-old X-Factor alum has big plans with her team for her Eurovision journey and subsequent career.
Victoria was set to perform “Tears Getting Sober” at Eurovision 2020. The song is written by VICTORIA, Borislav Milanov, Lukas Oscar, and Cornelia Wiebols. Borislav has been involved in composing all Bulgarian entries since 2016.

At the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest, 17-year-old Kristian Kostov finished in second place in the Grand Final, bringing Bulgaria their best ever result. 2017 saw Bulgaria make only their third final in their Eurovision history, the first being in 2007 when Elitsa & Stoyan finished 5th with the song “Water”. Bulgaria debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in Kyiv, Ukraine in 2005. The country competed annually from 2005 to 2013, before withdrawing for two years due to financial issues.
