TikTok star Nathan Evans will be the spokesperson for Scotland at the Free European Song Contest on May 15.
ProSieben has announced that TikTok star Nathan Evans is the Scottish spokesperson for the debut of the nation at the Free European Song Contest. He rose to fame in 2020 after posting videos on TikTok of him performing sea shanties.
The 26-year-old from Airdrie went on this year to release a cover of the 19th-century song “Welleerman” which reached number one in the charts of the UK, Austria, Belgium, Germany, Netherlands, Norway, and Switzerland.
The other confirmed spokesperson so far is three-time Eurovision Song Contest winner Johnny Logan.
It is currently not known who will be representing Scotland at the Free European Song Contest 2021. Steven Gätjen and Conchita Wurst will be hosting the Free European Song Contest 2021 on May 15. The sixteen competing countries are:
