The Dutch Government has decided that will be an audience for the Eurovision Song Contest 2021.
The Ministry of Education, Culture, and Science (OCW) held a meeting tonight on whether an audience would be able to attend the Eurovision Song Contest 2021. It was determined that the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 will proceed with an audience for all three live shows and associated dress rehearsals.
The Eurovision Song Contest 2021 is being held as a Fieldlab Event. a program created to develop safe re-opening strategies for the Dutch entertainment sector. According to a guideline of the Dutch government, the testing done by Fieldlab Events will go ahead as the number of patients in intensive care units is below 900.
The Ahoy Arena will be opened for 3500 visitors. Sietse Bakker also added that this could be a way to open up the Netherlands a little and at the same time it can be seen as a reminder that the pandemic is still not over.
NOS reports that on May 8 tickets will go on sale, ticket sales will only be able to be purchased by those who purchased tickets for the 2020 contest.
Eurovision 2021
The Eurovision Song Contest 2021 will take place on May 18, 20, and 22 in Rotterdam. A total of 39 countries will take part in the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Eurovision 2020 was due to be held in Rotterdam after Duncan Laurence gave the Netherlands their first victory since 1975 with the song “Arcade”. After the cancelation of the 2020 contest, it was decided that Rotterdam would host the 2021 contest instead.
