Tusse has won Melodifestivalen 2021 and will represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 with the song “Voices”.
After four semi-finals and a second chance round, the final of Melodifestivalen took place tonight in Stockholm. Måns Zelmerlöw, Shima Niavarani and the producer of Melodifestivalen, Christer Björkman hosted the show.
Twelve artists shared the stage this evening for the chance to represent Sweden in Rotterdam. The winner this evening was determined by 50% public voting and 50% international jury voting.
The international juries have voted as the follwoing:

- France – 12 points to Tusse
- United Kingdom – 12 points to The Mamas
- Iceland – 12 points to Tusse

Tusse debuted this year in Melodifestivalen after winning the Swedish Idol in 2019, qualifying directly from the third semi-final. He will peform in the first half of the first semi-final on May 18.

Sweden debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1958 and has gone on to be one of the contest’s most successful countries. The country has won the contest six times, the most recent being in 2015. Sweden’s first victory came in 1974 when ABBA won the contest in Brighton with “Waterloo”. Since missing out on the final in 2010, Sweden has gone on to finish 3rd twice and has won the contest twice, only in 2013 did the country place outside of the top 10 in the final.
