🇲🇰 North Macedonia: “Here I Stand” To Be Released March 11

North Macedonia will release their entry for Eurovision 2021 “Here I Stand” on March 11.

Vasil has this morning revealed on social media that “Here I Stand”, his song for North Macedonia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021, will be revealed on March 11. “Here I Stand” is written and composed by Vasil, the arrangement and production is completed by Borce Kuzmanovski and Davor Jordanovski.

This past weekend the singer filmed the official music video for his song in the North Macedonian capital. The recording of his song finished at the start of last week, the recording took place in the Fames Project studio, in Skopje. Earlier Vasil revealed that his backing vocals from the Chicago Children’s Choir will be added to the track.

The singer was first chosen to represent North Macedonia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 with the song “You”, until the contest was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On January 20 is was confirmed that Vasil would be representing the country in Rotterdam this year.

North Macedonia debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1998, however, two years earlier they attempted to participate but was knocked out in the pre-qualifying round. In 2016 they were represented by Kaliopi for a second time with the song “Dona”, she missed out on the final finishing in 11th in her semi-final. North Macedonia’s best result to date is a 7th place finish in the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest represented by Tamara Todevska and the song “Proud”.
