Filming for the official music video for “Here I Stand” by Vasil has taken place this weekend in North Macedonia.
The official music video for “Here I Stand” has been filmed this weekend, filming took place yesterday in the capital of North Macedonia. Earlier this week the recording of the song was completed in Skopje at Fames Project studio.
Vasil is working with Tine Matulessy, who will be the Staging Director for North Macedonia at this years Eurovision Song Contest. Tine was previously the Head of Delegation for Sweden at Junior Eurovision before going to stage the Belarusian performance at Eurovision 2014, in 2019 she staged the North Macedonian entry “Proud”.
“Here I Stand” is written and composed by Vasil, the arrangement and production is completed by Borce Kuzmanovski and Davor Jordanovski. The song will be released in early March.
The singer was first chosen to represent North Macedonia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 with the song “You”, until the contest was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On January 20 is was confirmed that Vasil would be representing the country in Rotterdam this year.

North Macedonia debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1998, however, two years earlier they attempted to participate but was knocked out in the pre-qualifying round. In 2016 they were represented by Kaliopi for a second time with the song “Dona”, she missed out on the final finishing in 11th in her semi-final. North Macedonia’s best result to date is a 7th place finish in the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest represented by Tamara Todevska and the song “Proud”.
