The German entry for Eurovision 2021 performed by Jendrik is set to be released at 12:00 CET tomorrow.
Germany is following Cyprus in doing a staggered reveal of its entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2021. The song is set to be officially premiered at 12:00 CET, with the music video then released later in the day at 18:00 CET, just after the video has its TV debut.
Jendrik will also perform on February 26th, at 22.00 CET on Barbara Schöneberger’s talkshow on NDR. Schöneberger has been both Germany’s spokesperson at Eurovision and has hosted the country’s pre-selection show several times before.
Who is Jendrik?
Jendrik Sigwart comes from Hamburg and has been playing music since a young age. Following high school he went on to attend Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences where he studied musical theatre. He has one on to write his own music and songs. The song that Jendrik will perform was written by him on the ukulele.

Germany was one of seven countries to participate in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1956. The country has taken part in every contest since then, apart from in 1996 when they failed to make it through the qualifying round. To date Germany has won the contest twice, the first time being in 1982 when Nicole sang “Ein Bisschen Frieden” in Harrogate, which later became a global hit. Germany didn’t win again until 2010, when Lena sang “Satellite” in Oslo. She received 9 sets of 12 points, scoring 236 points overall.
