Bulgarian representative VICTORIA has released the fifth of her six potential entries for the Eurovision Song Contest 2021.
“the funeral song” is part of VICTORIA’s first EP “a little dramatic”. This is one of five tracks on the EP and one of six of her potential songs for Eurovision 2021 in Rotterdam.
The track follows yesterday’s release of “phantom pain”. The artist described “the funeral song” message on Twitter as a call to cherish everything we have and to live in the moment.
“the funeral song” is Written by Helena Larsson, Victoria Georgieva, Christopher Samuels, Nellie Fors and Oliver Björkvall. Production is by Oliver Björkvall, Helena Larsson.
Only one song remains to be revealed from “a little dramatic” which is titled “growing up is getting old”.
Who is Victoria Georgieva?
Victoria was announced as the 2020 Bulgarian representative in November 2019 during an official press conference regarding the nation’s return to the Eurovision Song Contest. The 23 year old X-Factor alum has big plans with her team for her Eurovision journey and subsequent career.
Victoria was set to perform “Tears Getting Sober” at Eurovision 2020. The song is written by VICTORIA, Borislav Milanov, Lukas Oscar and Cornelia Wiebols. Borislav has been involved in composing all Bulgarian entries since 2016.

At the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest, 17-year-old Kristian Kostov finished in second place in the Grand Final, bringing Bulgaria their best ever result. 2017 saw Bulgaria make only their third final in their Eurovision history, the first being in 2007 when Elitsa & Stoyan finished 5th with the song “Water”. Bulgaria debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in Kyiv, Ukraine in 2005. The country competed annually from 2005 to 2013, before withdrawing for two years due to financial issues.
