UA:PBC has revealed that Go_A’s song for Eurovision 2021 will be revealed on February 4.
Following the news that Go_A’s song had been selected UA:PBC is now ready to reveal which of the three songs presented to the jury will go on to represent Ukraine at Eurovision this year. Currently, short snippets of each of the candidate songs have been released. One of the songs in the running “Shum” was previously released by Go_A on January 22.
The three songs in the running are as follows:
- Shum (Noise)
- Rano (Early)
- Tserkovka (Church)
A jury made up of six members was used to determine Go_A’s song for Eurovision 2021. The Ukrainian public broadcaster had previously revealed that Go_A would be presenting at least two songs to this jury.
The jury was formed of:
- Jamala – Eurovision 2016 winner
- Evgeny Filatov – Member of The Maneken
- Ruslan Kvinta – Music Producer
- Yarloslav Lodigin – Board member of UA:PBC
- Dmitry Khorkin – Board member of UA:PBC
The jury awarded points to each of the songs in the selection with the winner being the song with the highest total. This is the first time since 2004 that the public has had no say in Ukraine’s Eurovision entry.
Go_A will perform for Ukraine in first semi-final of Eurovision 2021 on May 18.

Ukraine first participated in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2003, when Oleksandr Ponomariov performed “Hasta la vista”. The following year Ruslana brought the country their first win with the song “Wild Dances”. It was a feat that would be replicated in 2016 by Jamala with her song “1944”; her emotionally charged song scored a record 534 points to take victory in Stockholm. In 2017 O.Torvald represented the country on home soil with the song “Time”. The group finished in 24th place, Ukraine’s worst result at the contest to date.
