The Roop are set to make a guest appearance in the second heat of Pabandom iš naujo which will air on Saturday evening.
The Roop who have auto qualified for the final of Pabandom iš naujo are set to perform in this Saturday’s heat. The group who were due to compete in Eurovision in 2020 will be giving their first performance of “Discoteque”, the song they want to take to Eurovision 2021.
The group posted on social media ahead of their performance that:
The song “Discoteque” is not a copy of On Fire. That’s what we least wanted. But one thing that connects these tracks (apart from the band members) is that they both sound somewhat unusual. And we like it!
“Discoteque” is set to be released on streaming platforms on Friday. The Roop are currently the favourites to win the Lithuanian selection process. They are also one of a number of ESC 2020 acts having to compete in a selection to represent their nation in 2021 including Aksel (Finland) and The Mamas (Sweden).
