Six members of the ERT committee will be in charge of selecting Greece’s song for this year’s Eurovision Song Contest.
Greek broadcaster ERT has revealed to Eurovision Fun the six members of the committee that will select Stefania’s song. The members are:
- Dimitri Papadimitriou – Composer, Member of the Board of ERT SA (Chairman)
- Adam Petros – Music Producer (Member)
- Markaki George – Journalist (Member)
- Gianni Petridi – Music Producer (Member)
- Kozaterou Di -Commentator (Member)
- Antonopoulos Leonidas – Director of Kosmos of ERA (Member)
The first four members were part of last year’s committee. The committee meetings were also assisted by Dora Chiraki, the Director of Corporate Communication of ERT, and Sofia Dranidou, head of the International Relations department.
There are just two songs left in the Greek selection, which the committee will now be reviewing. According to previous reports both Stefania and the Dream Team have a clear favourite song that they want to see in 2021. It is not known if this song still remains in contention or has been dropped by the committee.
Stefania was to represent Greece at the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 with her song “Superg!rl”. Shortly after the contests cancellation was announced ERT revealed that Stefania would be representing Greece on the contests stage in 2021.

Greece debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1974, when they were represented by Marinella and the song “Krasi, thalassa kai t’agori mou” which finished in 11th place with 7 points. Three years later Greece earned their first top 5 finish with Paschalis, Marianna, Robert and Bessy who finished in 5th place with “Mathima solfege”. In 2001 Greece achieved their first top 3 result with Antique and the song “I Would Die For You”. The song became a European hit, and charted across the continent. In 2005 Helena Paparizou returned to the Eurovision stage as a solo artist and brought Greece their first, and to date only, victory. Her song “My Number One” won with 230 points, beating runners-up Malta by 38 points.
