Sofia Feskova has revealed that she will be performing alone on stage for her performance at Junior Eurovision 2020.
Speaking to KP Sofia Feskova has revealed new details of her performance for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. The singer who will be performing ‘My New Day’ will be alone on stage for her performance in two weeks time. She told KP that:
My number will be calm, there will be no dancing, no backing vocals, only me.
Sofia is likely to be one of a number of acts performing alone on stage at this years contest, Oleksandr Balabanov has also confirmed he will be alone for her performance.
Regarding what the young singer will be wearing on stage, Sofia could not say much. She said that she will be wearing a blue dress but that the outfit will stay a secret.
Who is Sofia Feskova?
Eleven-year-old Sofia Feskova is from St. Petersburg, Russia. The singer is no stranger to competitions, having competed in the Junior New Wave competition and making it to the final. Sofia competed in the Russian Junior Eurovision selection this year, finishing in 1st place, 6 points ahead of runner up Rutger Garecht.
Her song ‘My New Day’ is about how you should “never give up, keep going, and fill every day with generosity and happiness”.

Russia made their debut in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2005 and has participated in the contest every year since. The country won the contest for the first time in 2006 when they were represented by the Tolmachevy Twins with the song “Vesenniy jazz”, who scored a total of 154 points. Russia had never finished outside of the top 10 in their time at the contest until 2019, and have finished second twice, fourth four times, and fifth once. At the 2017 contest in Georgia, Russia won the contest for a second time represented by Polina Bogusevich and “Wings”.
