RTS has released the English language version of ‘Hearbeat’ the Serbian entry for Junior Eurovision 2020.
The English language version of Serbia’s entry for this years edition of Junior Eurovision has been released. ‘Hearbeat’ is being performed by Petar Aničić with the original Serbian song havinge been written by Leontina Vukomanović and Petar Aničić, and composed by Vladimir Graić and Nemanja Filipović.
The English lyrics to the song have been written by Charlie Mason. Charlie Mason is the lyricist behind ‘Rise Like a Phoenix’ the winner of Eurovision 2014. He also worked on the Eurovision entries for Italy in 2012, Serbia and Slovenia in 2015 and the Croatian entry in 2019.
Who is Petar Aničić?
Fourteen-year-old Petar Aničić began his music career at the age of four, where he began composing his own music. He enrolled in the Mokranjac Junior Music School in Belgrade two years later and has since performed in numerous contests and concerts. He is the first male soloist in history to represent Serbia at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
Alongside music, Petar enjoys history, languages, geography, and sports. He practices rowing, as well as playing the piano.

Serbia made their debut in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest as an independent country in 2006. They were represented by Neustrašivi učitelji stranih jezika on their debut with the song “Učimo strane jezike”, finishing 5th with 81 points. Serbia went on to compete annually until 2010, after which point RTS withdrew from the contest due to financial difficulties. Serbia returned to the contest in 2014 and has gone on to compete in the contest annually.
