HRT has revealed the full results of Dora 2020, with Damir Kedžo winning the contest by just 260 votes.
The Croatian broadcaster has revealed the full results from the final of Dora 2020 last weekend. The results of the televote show that there was just a 260 vote difference between Damir Kedžo and Mia Negovetić. Damir won the right to represent Croatia at the Eurovision Song Contest thanks to winning the televote, having tied with Mia on the overall number of points received.

Representing Croatia this year will be Damir Kedžo with his song “Divlji vjetre”. Following the final, it was revealed that the song will remain in Croatian, meaning that the country will be performing entirely in their own language for the first time since the 2013 contest in Malmo, Sweden.

Croatia debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1993, they were one of three countries to debut in the contest that year. Croatia’s best result came in 1999 when Doris Dragovic finished 4th in Jerusalem. She performed the song “Marija Magdalena” which scored a total of 118 points, this included 12 points from Slovenia and Spain. Croatia returned to the contest in 2016 having withdrawn after the 2013 contest due to a string of poor results and financial difficulties.
