Georgia’s song for the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest is set to be revealed tomorrow.
Georgian broadcaster GPB has revealed that their song “Take Me As I Am” will be released in full tomorrow, following their teaser snippet release earlier today. “Take Me As I Am” was written by Tornike Kipiani himself and is described as a mix of classic rock, electro and dubstep.
In Rotterdam, Tornike will be joined by three backing vocalists: Aleko Berdzenishvili, Marian Shengelia and Mariko Lezhava. Aleko also worked with Tornike on the arrangement of the song.

Tornike won Georgian Idol on New Year’s Eve and was chosen to represent Georgia at Eurovision. He finished first in the public vote in every live show except Week 1. Tornike won the first edition of X Factor Georgia in 2014.
Georgia used Georgian Idol to select its representative at the Eurovision Song Contest for a second year in a row. This year the show was only used to select the singer that will represent Georgia in Rotterdam.

Georgia debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2007, they were represented by Sopho Khalvashi and the song “Visionary Dream”. Sopho finished 12th in the final scoring 97 points, the song received 12 points from the televoters in Lithuania. Their best result was a 9th place in both 2010 and 2011. Georgia has only ever missed one contest since their debut, this was in 2009 when they had selected Stephane & 3G with “We Don’t Wanna Put In”. The EBU asked for Georgia to rewrite the lyrics of the song or change the song completely.
