Dziennik Eurowizyjny reports that the lead singer of Lake Malawi, Albert Černý will be competing in the Polish selection process for Eurovision 2020.
Having represented the Czech Republic at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019, Albert Černý is reported to be competing to represent Poland this year in Rotterdam. Albert who is part of Lake Malawi is among the acts competing in Szansa na Sukces to be the next Polish representative at the Eurovision Song Contest.
Filming for the first heat of Szansa na Sukces took place this afternoon, with the following acts competing:
- Emilia Sanecka – Lead singer of the band Daj to głośniej
- Patryk Skoczyński – Participated in The Voice of Poland
- Amelia Andryszczyk – Participated in The Voice Kids and the Polish selection for Junior Eurovision in 2016
- Maja Hyży – Competed in the X Factor Poland and the Polish selection process for Eurovision 2018
- Kasia Dereń – Backing singer for Poland at Eurovision 2018
- Julia & Wiktoria Szlachta – Participated in The Voice of Poland
- Sargis Davtyan – Competed in Debiuty Opole 2019
Heat two and three are to be filmed tomorrow according to Dziennik Eurowizyjny the following singers will also be competing:

- Albert Černý
- Paulina Czapla
- Bartosz Kurkiewicz
- Aleksandra Nykiel
- Stashka
- Adrian Makar
- Saszan

Szansa na Sukces will be aired every Sunday from February 2 to February 23 on TVP2 and will be hosted by Artur Orzech. The in-studio jury will select one artist from each semi-final to advance to the final. The jury will also award a Golden Ticket to one artist who did not originally qualify to also advance to the final. In the final, the artists will each perform a cover song and and original song, which will be their Eurovision entry. The winner will be chosen solely by public voting.
Szansa na Sukces was used as the Polish national final for Junior Eurovision last year. The winner of the show, Viki Gabor, went on to win Junior Eurovision 2019, achieving Poland’s second consecutive win in the contest. This selection method is also likely to be used to select the Polish entrant for Junior Eurovision 2020.
