ERR has revealed the split of the two semi-finals for Eesti Laul 2020.
The semi-finals of Estonia’s Eurovision selection show Eesti Laul is set to take place on 13th and 15th of February 2020. Twelve artists will compete in each semi-final, with six from each show qualifying to the Grand Final on 29th February.
The semi-final split is as follows (in alphabetical order):

The running orders of the semi-finals will be announced in the New Year.
The jury that selected the twenty four artists competing in Eesti Laul 2020 was formed of Andres Puusepp, Anu Varusk, Birgit Sarrap, Daniel Levi, Eda-Ines Etti, Hendrik Sal-Saller, Jüri Makarov, Kaupo Karelson, Lauri Hermann, Madis Aesma, Maiken, Owe Petersell, Sten Teppan and Vaido Pannel.
A total of 178 potentially entries were submitted to the contest. The dates for Eesti Laul 2020 are:
- Semi-Final One – February 13
- Semi-Final Two – February 15
- Grand Final – February 29
At the 2019 contest, Estonia was represented by Victor Crone. With his song “Storm”, he finished in 18th place in the Grand Final.

Estonia debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1994 alongside six other countries. At the contest in Dublin they were represented by Silvi Vrait, who finished 2nd last scoring just 2 points. In 2001 Estonia won the Eurovision Song Contest for the only time to date. They were represented by Tanel Padar, Dave Benton & 2XL, who performed the song “Everybody” and took a surprise victory in Copenhagen. After the success of the late-90s and early 00s, Estonia failed to qualify for the final from 2004-2008. In 2009 Estonia launched a new selection show, Eesti Laul, and has since qualified for the final six out of ten attempts.
