The next artist to feature in our “Who Is” series for the Junior Eurovision 2019 season is Isea Çili from Albania.
Twelve year old Isea Çili is from the Albanian capital Tirana. Isea rose to fame after competing at The Voice Kids Albania earlier this year, making it through to week four of the show.
Isea was selected to represent Albania at this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest after she won Junior Fest in September, beating competition from nineteen other acts. She will be singing “Mikja Ime Fëmijëri”, a song about growing up and leaving childhood behind.
Albania first debuted in the Junior Eurovision Contest in 2012, and to date have had 5 entries. The country is still yet to win the contest, and their best result was in 2015, when Mishela Rapo performed her song “Dambaje”, which scored a total of 93 points and ended on 5th place. Albania were absent from the contest in 2013 and 2014, before returning again in 2015.
