Shingo Murakami has been announced as the host of the ABU TV Song Festival 2019 in Tokyo, Japan.
Singer, presenter and actor Shingo Murakami has been named by NHK as the host of the ABU TV Song Festival 2019 in Tokyo. Shingo who is best known as a member of Kanjani Eight, will guide viewers from ten nations across the Asia-Pacific region through the event in Tokyo.
The 37 year-old has been a feature of Japanese television since 1996 when he was just 14 years old, and has presented numerous television series over the course of his 20 year career. Yuki Sugiura has also been confirmed as the announcer for the show, she has worked for NHK as an announcer since 2006 in the Tokyo region.
ABU TV Song Festival 2019
The ABU TV Song Festival 2019 is scheduled to take place on November 19 in Tokyo. The ABU TV Song Festival was held for the first time in 2012 and is a non-competitive showcase from across the Asia-Pacific region. This years ABU TV Song Festival will take place at the NHK Hall in Shibuya, Tokyo.
