Four jury members will feature in this year’s edition of Georgian Idol.
Georgian broadcaster GBP has revealed that Natia Todua and Tinatin Berdzenishvili will once again feature on the jury panel of Georgian Idol, with David Evgenidze and David Aladashvili joining them for the first time. David Evgenidze was also featured on the panel for Ranina, Georgia’s Junior Eurovision selection show.
Georgian Idol will return to screens this month. The show was first held in 2018/19, and was used to select the Georgian singer and song for the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest in Israel.
Oto Nemsadze was selected to represent Georgia in Tel Aviv with the song “Sul tsin iare” after winning Georgian Idol. He finished 14th in the first semi-final with 62 points.

Georgia debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2007, they were represented by Sopho Khalvashi and the song “Visionary Dream”. Sopho finished 12th in the final scoring 97 points, the song received 12 points from the televoters in Lithuania. Georgia has only ever missed one contest since their debut, this was in 2009 when they had selected Stephane & 3G with “We Don’t Wanna Put In”. The EBU asked for Georgia to rewrite the lyrics of the song or change the song completely.
