The format for the final of Szansa na sukces tomorrow, has been confirmed by TVP.

TVP has confirmed how the Polish representative for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019 will be determined tomorrow. Unlike previously reported the winning act is set to be determined by 50% televoting and 50% jury voting. On the jury are:

  • Dominika Gawęda
  • Paweł Stasiak
  • Majka Jeżowska

The show will be held in two parts. In the first part each of the three finalists will perform a song by the artist that was the theme of their heat. Once each of the three acts has performed, they will then perform their song for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.

The three singers who will be competing to represent Poland on home soil are:

  • Nikola Fiedor
  • Wiktoria Gabor
  • Gabriela Katzer

Szansa na Sukces returned to Polish TV screens this year, being used to select a singer to participate in Opole 2019. The show had previously been aired on TVP2 between 1993 and 2012.

Poland dropped using a televised selection process for Junior Eurovision last year. Instead TVP opted to internally select both their singer and song for the competition, with TVP selecting Roksana Węgiel, who went on to win the contest with “Anyone I Want to Be”.

Poland was one of sixteen countries to participate in the first edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2003. After two last place finishes, they withdrew from the contest and did not return until 2016. Roksana Węgiel brought Poland their first victory in the contest in 2018 with “Anyone I Want To Be”.
