The first heat of Szansa na Sukces was broadcast this afternoon, with seven singers competing for a place in the final on September 26.
In each of the three heats, the participants have to perform songs by a particular artist. An in-studio jury then chooses one participant to move on to the final. This week, the contestants had to perform songs by Majka Jeżowska.
The results of the first heat were as follows:

Next week, the participants will have to perform songs by Blue Cafe, who represented Poland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2004. The participants in the second heat are as follows:

- Oliwia Kopiec – To Ty
- Krzysztof Kwaśny – Czas nie będzie czekał

The final of Szansa na Sukces will take place on September 26. All of the participants will perform original and the public will decide who will represent Poland on home ground in Gliwice.
Szansa na Sukces returned to Polish TV screens this year, being used to select a singer to participate in Opole 2019. The show had previously been aired on TVP2 between 1993 and 2012.
Poland dropped using a televised selection process for Junior Eurovision last year. Instead TVP opted to internally select both their singer and song for the competition, with TVP selecting Roksana Węgiel, who went on to win the contest with “Anyone I Want to Be”.
Poland in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest
Poland was one of sixteen countries to participate in the first edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2003. After two last place finishes, they withdrew from the contest and did not return until 2016. Roksana Węgiel brought Poland their first victory in the contest in 2018 with “Anyone I Want To Be”.
