Szansa na sukces is to be used as the Polish selection process for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in November.
TVP is returning to a national selection process, with Szansa na sukces being used to select their representative. Singers between the ages of 9 and 14 years are invited to apply to take part in the show, with auditions being held in Warsaw this weekend.
Szansa na sukces returned to Polish TV screens this year, being used to select a singer to participate in Opole 2019. The show had previously been aired on TVP2 between 1993 and 2012.
Poland dropped using a televised selection process for Junior Eurovision last year. Instead TVP opted to internally select both their singer and song for the competition, with TVP selecting Roksana Węgiel, who went on to win the contest with “Anyone I Want to Be”.
It is not yet known how the song that the representative will perform for Poland at the contest will be selected.

The original version of Szansa na sukces saw newcomers aged 16 or older singing covers of well-known songs by legendary Polish recording artists. The SNS reboot will have singers aged 9 to 14 performing original songs in hopes of representing Polish at JESC on home soil.
Never mind. We won’t know how Poland’s sixth JESC song will be selected.
