The guest appearance of the winner of last years Junior Eurovision Song Contest has been moved to the first semi-final.
The appearance of last years Junior Eurovision Song Contest has been moved from the Grand Final to the first Semi-Final, according to the EBU’s Media Handbook. The handbook states that Junior Eurovision will be among the interval acts for the first show on May 14.
Since its introduction in 2014, the winner of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest has been interviewed as part of the Grand Final. The appearance normally features an interview with last years Junior Eurovision winner and the chance sing a small part of their winning entry.
Poland’s Roksana Wegiel is set to travel to Tel Aviv to appear on stage, following her victory last year in Belarus. Roksana won last years contest with “Anyone I Want To Be”, bring the song contest to Poland for the very first time later this year.
Gliwice in upper Silesia, Poland, will be hosting this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest. The Arena Gliwice is a large arena that has hosted many concerts, sports competitions and family shows in the past.
The 2019 Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be held on Sunday 24th November. To date, nine countries have expressed their interest in participating in the contest:
