Tonight the seventh edition of Eurojury will take place, with a live broadcast revealing your winner of Eurojury 2019.
The results of thirty-five juries have been received and your points have been added together, the result is final, now its time for the show. Just shy of one hundred former Eurovision winners, participants, delegates, national finalists, Junior Eurovision entrants, and national broadcasting companies have taken part in this years show.
This evening from 20:00 CET, Eurojury 2019 takes place with your hosts Rob Liley and Alice Chapman. This is the second time that Rob has presented the show with a co-host, after Karl William Lund joined him in 2016. Prior to the switch from radio to television, Eurojury had been presented by Josh Dubovie and Linda Martin.
How does Eurojury work?
Participating jury members have ranked their top ten songs of this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, which have then be combined with the results of other jurors from their country to make up one national result. This national result, when added to those of other countries, will produce the final ‘jury vote’.
The broadcast consists of two segments, much like the voting sequence of the Eurovision Song Contest, allowing both jury members and fans worldwide to express their opinions and contribute towards the final ranking of this year’s forty-one songs.
This year, two national broadcasters have provided the results on behalf of their country. The national broadcasters of Ukraine and Bulgaria have taken part in this years show, despite both having withdrawn from the Eurovision Song Contest 2019.
