Three former Eurovision winners will take to the stage at the Eurovillage in Tel Aviv.
During the night of the second Eurovision 2019 Semi-Final, three Eurovision winner will perform at the Eurovillage in Charles Clore Park, Tel Aviv, as part of a collaboration with the White Night programme. Loreen (Sweden 2012), Carola (Sweden 1991) and Anne-Marie David (Luxembourg 1973) will take to the stage on May 16th, accompanied by backing dancers.
Hosted by Orna Datz and Alon Amir, the show will take place at 20:00 Israel time, two hours before the second Semi-Final takes place.
The village will be home to seven different themed zones, including Israeli food, DJs, Sports and more. Confirmed performers include Netta, Dana International, Izhar Cohen and Gali Atari, as well as the aforementioned Eurovision winners. It’s free to enter the village, and all three live Eurovision shows will be broadcast on a large screen for fans and the public to enjoy.
More events at the Eurovillage are expected to be announced soon.
Tel Aviv will host the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in the Expo Tel Aviv (International Convention Centre) on May 14, 16 and 18 2019. After receiving bids from several cities across Israel, the final two remaining candidate cities were Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. KAN recommended Tel Aviv to the Reference Group.

Israel debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1973, and were represented by Ilanit who finished in 4th place with the song “Ey Sham”. Their first victory came in 1978 with Izar Cohen and the Alphabeta. Israel won again the following year with Gali Atari & Milk and Honey. Israel’s third victory came in 1998 when Dana International performed “Diva” in Birmingham, beating Malta to victory in a tense voting sequence. Israel struggled in the contest during the early-2010s, failing to qualify for the final from 2011-2014. However since the HaKokhav HaBa selection process was introduced in 2015 Israel has seen its fortunes turned around. In 2018 Netta won the Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Toy”, the song has gone on to be the most viewed Eurovision entry of all time on YouTube.
