Tonight Serbia will begin their Eurovision search as the first semi-final of Beovizija 2019 takes place.
Twelve artists will take to the stage tonight in the hope that they will qualify to the final of Serbia’s Eurovision selection show, which will take place on March 3rd.
Performing tonight is:

- Aleksandra Sekulić – ‘Tugo’ (Sadness)
- Osvajači – ‘Vatra i plamen’ (Fire and Flame)
- Dunja Vujadinović – ‘7’
- MR DOO – ‘Do 100’ (Up To 100)
- Saška Janks – ‘Da li čuješ moj glas’ (Do You Hear My Voice)
- Ivan Kurtić – ‘Bella – Bela’ (Beautiful – White)
- Sofija Perić – ‘Aritmija’ (Arrhythmia)
- Snežana Berić (Extra Nena) – ‘Još ti čujem glas’ (I Still Hear Your Voice)
- Eleonora – ‘Samo lagano’ (Take It Easy)
- Ivana Vladović & Wonder Strings – ‘Moja bol’ (My Pain)
- Nataša & Una – ‘Slobodna’ (Free)
A further twelve artists will perform in the second semi-final on 28th February. The winner of Beovizija will be determined in the same method as the Eurovision Song Contest – a jury made up of music experts will determine 50% of the results, while the Serbian public will be able to vote for their favourite. This is the second consecutive year that Serbia have opted for a National Final as Beovizija returned last year for the first time since 2009.

Serbia have competed as an independent nation in the Eurovision Song Contest since 2007, and have seen great success in the competition. Their first entry in 2007, Marija Šerifović’s “Molitva”, won the contest in Helsinki with 268 points, making Serbia’s debut one of the most successful in Eurovision history. From then up to their year’s break in 2014, Serbia finished in the top 10 a further two times, including a 3rd place finish in 2012 with Željko Joksimović’s “Nije ljubav stvar”. They have only failed to qualify for the final on three occasions, the most recent being in 2017 when Tijana Bogićević’s entry “In Too Deep” finished in 11th place in its semi-final in Kyiv.
