TVP will be approaching cities capable of hosting the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in the new year.
The Director General of TVP has confirmed that TVP will begin their search for the host city of Junior Eurovision 2019 at the start of 2019. The broadcaster will be sending the requirements of the contest to the cities, and will determine the host city based on Hotel availability, the proposed of venues and budget that host cities are willing to spend on the competition.
In the interview with Radio Zet, Mr Kurksi reiterated that Warsaw is not going to be selected to host the competition due to a lack of suitable venues. Instead he suggested that the likes of Kraków, Katowice, Gliwice, Gdańsk, Łódź and Szczecin are appropriate host cities for the competition.
The MP for Gliwice has already written to Mr Kurski to announce his support for the competition being hosted in the city. The letter came days before TVP was formally announced as the host broadcaster for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
Roksana Węgiel from Poland who won with the song “Anyone I Want to Be”. She scored a total of 215 points beating runner up France by a total of 12 points. Poland came 7th in the jury vote with 79 points, but topped the online vote with 136 points.
