Estonia: Eesti Laul 2019 Entries Released

ERR, the Estonian national broadcaster, has released the 24 entries that will compete in Eesti Laul 2019.

The 24 competing entries, which are now available on the official Eesti Laul webiste, are:

Semi Final One:

• The Swingers – “High Heels In The Neighbourhood”
• Ranele – “Supernova”
• Sofia Rubina-Hunter  – “Deep Water”
• xtra basic & Emily J – “Hold Me Close”
• Johanna Eendra – “Miks sa teed nii?” (Why are you doing so?)
• Victor Crone – “Storm”
• Stefan – “Without You”
• Jennifer Cohen – “Little Baby El”
• Sandra Nurmsalu – “Soovide puu” (Tree of wishes)
• Öed – “Öhuloss” (Sky castle)
• Marko Kaar – “Smile”
• Inger – “Coming Home”

Semi Final Two:

• Synne Valtri – “I’ll Do It My Way”
• Sissi – “Strong”
• Kaia Tamm – “Wo sind die katzen?” (Where are the cats?)
• Iseloomad – “Kaks miinust” (Two minuses)
• Cätlin Mägi & Jaan Pehk – “Parmumäng” (Play of jaw harp)

The dates for Eesti Laul 2019 are as follows:

• Semi-Final One – January 31
• Semi-Final Two – February 2
• Final – February 16

Changes to the format of this year’s edition of Eesti Laul. Six artists will qualify from each of the semi finals and compete in the live final in Tallinn. The semi-finals will also travel outside of Tallinn for the first time, with the shows to be broadcast live. The University of Tartu will host both semi-finals.

Estonia was represented by Elina Nechayeva at the 2018 contest in Lisbon, Portugal. With her song “La Forza”, she placed 8th in the final with 245 points.
