The city of Almaty has been confirmed as the host city for Kazakhstan’s Junior Eurovision 2018 national final.
Khabar Agency has revealed more details of the Kazakh national final, revealing the host city, venue and the hosts for next weeks show. The competition will be taking place in Kazakhstan’s largest city and former capital Almaty. The show is to take place at the Almaty Arena also known as the Halyk Arena, which is the second largest ice palace in the former Soviet Union being on a similar scale to the Minsk Arena.
Hosting the final which will take place on September 22 are Maya Bekbaeva, Nursultan Qurman, Marat Oralğazïn and Erkebulan Mırzabek. The show is also set to feature a number of high profile guest performers;

The winner of the national selection will be chosen by both the Kazakh public and the assembled jury. In the event of a tie, the jury will determine the Kazakh entrant, the singers taking part in the national final are;
- Zere Amirbekova (14 years old)
- Dinar Nadirbekova (13 years old)
- Suikum Kabylbek (12 years old)
- Danelia Tuleshova (12 years old)
- Yerzhan Maxim (11 years old)
- Maria Zatvarnitskaya (13 years old)
- Meirzhan Zhidebai (12 years old)
- Zhanelya Kaldybek (12 years old)
- Sanat Asuat (13 years old)
- Binura Saudabay (11 years old)
Kazakhstan’s participation in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2018 is being organised by Khabar Agency. Khabar has been broadcasting the Eurovision Song Contest live to viewers across Kazakhstan since 2010, with a commentary team covering the contest from Astana. Khabar has been an associate member of the European Broadcasting Agency since January 2016. This is the first Eurovision event that Kazakhstan will participate in.
