RTCG, the national broadcaster of Montenegro, has revealed the breakdown of the voting results in the final of Montevizija 2018.
The Montenegrin broadcaster has revealed just how close the voting was in the final of Montevizija last night, with just 3% of the vote separating first and second place. The reveal of the voting results also shows how had their not been a super final, a different singer would be representing Montenegro in the Lisbon.
The results of the first round of voting were as follows:
- Nina Petković – “Dišem” – 11% of the vote – 5th place
- Vanja Radovanović – “Inje” – Winner – 18% of the vote – 3rd place
- Ivana Popović Martinović – “Poljupci” – 12% of the vote – 4th place
- Katarina Bogićević – “Neželjena” – 19% of the vote – 2nd place
- Lorena Janković – “Dušu Mi Daj” – 40% of the vote – 1st place
The results show that had their been just one round of voting the act representing Montenegro in Lisbon would have been Lorena Janković, with the eventual winner Vanja received less than half the vote of Lorena.
The results of the super final voting were as follows:
- Vanja Radovanović – “Inje” – Winner – 37% of the vote – 1st place
- Katarina Bogićević – “Neželjena” – 34% of the vote – 2nd place
- Lorena Janković – “Dušu Mi Daj” – 29% of the vote – 3rd place
Overall a total of 10,006 SMS votes were received during the two rounds of voting. From the voting, RTCG has donated their 30% share of the voting revenue to charitable causes.

Montenegro in the Eurovision Song Contest
Montenegro debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest as an independent country in 2007, and participated until 2010 when they withdrew for financial reasons. They returned to the contest in 2012, and since then have always chosen their entry internally. Montenegro failed to qualify for the grand final until 2014, when Sergej Ćetković and his song “Moj svijet” placed 19th in the final. Their best result came a year later, when Knez performed “Adio” in Vienna. They have never reached the top 10, with Knez reaching 13th out of 27 countries. Their most recent entrant, Slavko Kalezić, reached 16th in their semi-final in 2017 with their song “Space”.
