The first guest for the London Eurovision Party 2018 has been revealed, with tickets to go on sale on February 10.
Madame Monsieur have been announced as the first act taking part in the London Eurovision Party 2018. Madame Monsieur were selected just days ago to represent France with the song “Mercy”. The group has since spoken about the meaning of the song.
Hosting the show as ever will be Nicki French, who represented the UK at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2000 with the entry “Don’t Play That Song Again”, and Paddy O’Connell, former Eurovision semi-final commentator for UK viewers.
Organisers Kabir Naidoo and Russell Davies have stated their delight at the hosts returning again in 2018. Russell Davies commented that;
Fans of the London Eurovision Party love it when Nicki takes to the stage to passionately perform a medley of hits, as well as Paddy’s humour in the way he introduces the acts and keeps the audience entertained throughout the show.”
While Kabir Naidoo added;
It was a no brainer for us to invite them both back to reprise their hosting duties, as they are such an essential part in what make our event such a success every year.
Tickets will go on sale on February 10th. The only ticketing service for the London Eurovision Party is Ticketweb. IDs will be checked against the purchasing name on the tickets at entry to the venue. Do not purchase tickets from unauthorised vendors, resellers or ticketing touts as entry cannot be guaranteed without a matching name on ticket and photo identification.
The London Eurovision Party 2018 will take place on April 5 at Café de Paris in Leicester Square.
