The London Eurovision Party 2018 will take place on Thursday 5th April 2018.
It has been confirmed that the next London Eurovision Party will take place on Thursday 5th April 2018 in Café de Paris, Leicester Square. This is the third time that the event will be hosted in Café de Paris. The London Eurovision Party is one of the most popular pre-parties of the Eurovision season each year, and sees participating artists travel to the capital of the United Kingdom to promote their songs.
Regarding the venue, Organiser Kabir Naidoo said:
We’ve had overwhelmingly positive feedback over the past few years about the Party taking place at Café de Paris. Such a prestigious venue makes a great host for our star-studded event!
The change of date from a Sunday to a Thursday was also explained by fellow Organiser Russell Davies:
A lot of thought and planning has gone into moving to a Thursday and we have consulted with the other parties taking place. The date has been chosen to ensure London plays a prominent part of the pre-party season once again in 2018 ahead of the big event itself, the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Lisbon, Portugal next May. This date also means that the London Eurovision Party 2018 will be one of the first parties of the preview season.
We want to ensure that Eurovision fans in the UK can enjoy the best night of the year with a whole host of Eurovision favourites, and it was easiest to do that in 2018 on Thursday 5th April. Thursdays are the new Friday, after all!
Returning as Official Media Partner for the London Eurovision Party is Eurovision fansite escxtra.com. Editor in Chief, Nathan Waddell, said:
This is the fifth year that ESCXTRA has been the Official Media Partner for the London Eurovision Party and we are so excited to get involved in helping the event become a giant success yet again in the spring.
Participating acts will be revealed in the upcoming weeks.
