Netherlands: Who are Fource?

Fource are representing the Netherlands in this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Tbilisi, Georgia. Let’s find out more about them.

Fource are a boy band made up of Max Mies, Jannes Heuvelmans, Niels Schlimback and Ian Kuyper. They were formed after auditions for this year’s Junior Songfestival. They asked social media users to suggest a name for the band. The name Fource was chosen, as it represents the four members and their strength. They are the first boy band in history to represent the Netherlands at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.

Max is 14 years old and comes from Roosendaal in the southern Netherlands. After beginning singing lessons, he took part in Kinderen voor Kinderen and played the title role of Pinocchio in Pinokkio. He took part in the sixth season of The Voice Kids and was part of Team Ali B.

Jannes is 14 years old and lives in Berkel-Enschot in the southern Netherlands. He began singing when he was 8 years old. He has appeared in several musicals, including De Kleine Blonde Dood and in Pinokkio, alongside his future bandmate Max. Last year, he appeared in the televsion show Flikken Maastricht. He is also an avid hockey player.

Niels is 12 years old and comes from Nijmegen, near the German border. He has taken part in the childrens’ choir Kinderen voor Kinderen for the last three years. If a career in singing does not work out, he would like to work in television as a director. Apart from singing, he also loves to bake. One of his favourite singers is Beyoncé.

Ian is 13 years old and comes from Amsterdam. He was not originally part of the group and was added after one of the original members had to drop out. He began singing at the age of 8. He has also been skateboarding since a young age. In the future, he would like to be either an architect or an actor.

Fource will sing “Love Me” in Tbilisi, which was written for them after their victory in Junior Songfestival 2017. The song was composed by Stas Swaczyna & Joost Griffioen, also known as The Rocketeers. Joost Griffioen also wrote the lyrics to the song.
