The official music video for this year’s Australian entry for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest has been released.
The video for the song was revealed today, the International Day of the Girl, during a special edition of ABC Me’s News to Me. ABC Me, a family oriented channel took over the organsation of Australia’s Junior Eurovision participation this year from SBS. The video was shot in one take in Melbourne.
Isabella Clarke comes from Victoria. She has been singing for several years and has received various musical accolades from singing competitions. She has posted a number of her performances on YouTube. She is a principal vocalist in the Victorian State Schools Spectacular, singing in front of 10,000 people in Melbourne.
Isabella Clarke will be the third Australian representative in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Australia first competed in the contest in 2015 in Sofia where Bella Paige came in 8th place with My Girls. In the 2016 contest in Valletta, Malta, Alexa Curtis finished in 5th place with We Are.
The contest will be broadcast in Australia on Monday 27th November at 7.30pm local time, the day after the contest takes place in Tbilisi. ABC ME host Grace Koh will be joined by Pip Rasmussen and Tim Mathews to guide viewers through the event. Australia, along with Ireland, are the only two of this year’s participating countries that will not broadcast the contest live.
Sixteen countries will take part in the 15th edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest this year, including returning country Portugal, who haven’t participated since 2007. The contest will take place in the Olympic Palace in Tbilisi, Georgia on Sunday 26th November 2017 at 16:00 – 18:00 CET. This is the first time Georgia has hosted any Eurovision event. The sixteen countries taking part are:
