Belgium: Blanche – ‘Did Not Expect Fourth Place’

Blanche has spoken about what is means to her to have finished fourth in the Grand Final of Eurovision 2017 in Kyiv, Ukraine.

17-year-old Blanche headed into the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 as one of the favourites, before plummeting down the odds during rehearsal week, last night she turned it all around to finish fourth. The young singer stated that she had never expected to finish fourth in the contest and thanked everyone for the positive comments she has received.

Her focus now shifts from the contest to school which she will be returning to on Monday morning. The talented singer is in the final year of school and her focus is now on studying for her exams. After the summer she will focus again on music. She hopes going forward that the public will continue to follow her even if she didnโ€™t win the competition.

Blanche finished fourth in the final with a total of 363 points. After the jury voting Belgium was in 9th place with 108 points, she went on to receive 255 points from the televote.
