Oddschecker, the betting odds comparison site, takes a look at tonight’s second semi-final, who will qualify and who will head home?
Following an exciting first semi-final, Oddschecker takes a look at tonight’s show giving us a low down on who is through and who is out. Following the surprise non-qualification of Finland on Monday night, tonight’s show is expected to be an even more unpredictable affair.
The bookmakers are backing the following countries to qualify:

“I expect there to be a couple of shocks tonight, similar to the first semi-final, with that in mind, if I was to bet on the competition before tonight’s semi-final I’d be taking the 400/1 on Norway as I don’t think that price will be about tomorrow morning.”
Serbia:
Tijana Bogicevic is the chosen representative for Serbia and by the looks of the odds has a very slim chance of winning. A massive 400/1 to win the overall competition they rate a 0.2% chance based on the odds. The act has been the least-backed of the semi-final hopefuls and there’s been little support for Tijana in the overall winners market too with only 0.73% of bets.

Austria:
The Austrians have qualified for the final an impressive forty-five times, only missing out on four occasions. The 2014 winners are 250/1 to win the competition again, but even with that history punters are backing them not to qualify this evening. Their odds suggest they’ve got a 0.4% of winning the whole competition and even with their proven pedigree have attracted only 0.46% of all bets placed on Saturday’s Final market.

F.Y.R Macedonia:
Macedonia’s best ever finish was in 2006, where they finished 12th. Given their relatively poor record, it’s doubtful they’ll trouble the leaders again this year. Eurovision bettors appear to agree with this theory as only 0.26% of bets placed on the winners market have been for Macedonia. They’re a huge 500/1 to win the competition, implying a 0.2% chance of winning.

Malta:
Maltese entrant Claudia Faniello is currently a 800/1 shot to win this year’s competition but it’s very unlikely she’ll even make it to Saturday based on her odds to qualify this evening. Her odds imply suggest a 0.1% chance of winning the overall event and punters have steered clear, with only 0.5% of bets on Eurovision for Faniello.

Romania:
Romania have qualified everytime they’ve entered Eurovision and given they’re 1/12 to qualify it’s safe to assume they’ll cruise through tonight’s semi-final. The Romanian act is a 50/1 chance to win the whole thing, odds we expect to be a lot shorter come tomorrow. Their entrant has been fairly popular among punters, accounting for 2.16% of all bets.

The Netherlands:
The Netherland’s traditionally have a very proud Eurovision, but have endured a barren spell of late. They’re currently 60/1 to win the overall competition despite being 20/1 just a couple days ago. Their act, OG3NE have been the most popular in the qualification market for tonight’s semi-final.

Hungary:
Joci Papai will represent Hungary in Semi’s tonight and both the bookmakers and punters think he should cruise through qualification tonight. Croatia:
Even though the odds suggest Croatia will miss out on qualification, the betting public expect them to claw their way into the finals. Even though they have a 0.4% chance of winning, just over 1% of bets have been on the Croatians.
