After a long delay to the start of the United Kingdom’s rehearsal, Lucie has now performed on stage. The rehearsal went perfectly in terms of vocal performance, with no noticeable issues. Lucie bursts into life on the final chorus as the mirror shell behind her reflects an expression of excitement and power. The performance is confident and after today’s reaction, unlikely to finish in the bottom five. Pyrotechnic effects are used in the performance.
Midway through the performance, one word was missed by Lucie – intentionally omitted but with no apparent reason given. The United Kingdom has been drawn to perform in the second half.
After winning the national selection ‘Eurovision: You Decide’ this winter with the song ‘Never Give Up on You’, Lucie will represent the United Kingdom with a song written by Eurovision Song Contest 2013 winner, Denmark’s Emmelie De Forest. The song has been changed since the selection process in January, with the final version having been produced in Sweden.
Lucie was born in Wales and first rose to fame as a participant in the X Factor, after participating in the show she has gone on to take to the stage. She is currently touring as part of the show, Rent. However, it was revealed earlier this week she will be taking over the lead role in Legally Blonde in its UK and Ireland tour in the autumn.
