After the final round of ticket sales, tickets for the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 have now sold out.
Depo.ua reports that the final of the Eurovision Song Contest has now completely sold out with the remaining live shows also close to selling out. Currently tickets remain for both semi finals, however these are standing tickets in the Fan Zones. As of yesterday evening over 30,000 tickets have been sold for all of this years shows.
There are still a significant number of tickets available for the Dress Rehearsals and Jury shows and those wishing to attend the contest in Kyiv are being encouraged to attend these events. Tickets are available to purchase via the official ticket seller at concert.ua.
The Eurovision Song Contest 2017 is now less than a month away with rehearsals getting underway in just over three weeks time. Preparations are well underway in Kyiv for the contest, with the stage having been constructed along with the lighting rigs for the show. Today sees the installation of the pyrotechnic elements for the stage.
A total of 43 countries are to compete in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Kyiv, Ukraine. Returning to the Eurovision stage are Portugal and Romania who both took a year out from the contest. Bosnia & Herzegovina has however withdrawn from the contest due to financial difficulties at the national broadcaster, BHRT. The 62nd edition of the Eurovision Song Contest is being held on the following dates:
- Semi Final 1 – 9 May
- Semi Final 2 – 11 May
- Final – 13 May
It remains to be seen whether Russia will be competing at this years contest in Ukraine. Yulia Samoilova was banned on March 22 from entering Ukraine for a period of three years. The singer was found to have broken the law by entering Crimea via a non-Ukrainian border post. The EBU is working with both parties to enable Russia to compete in May.
