Sunstroke Project have launched an Instagram competition for their fans ahead of Eurovision in Concert 2017 in Amsterdam.
Sunstroke Project are calling on their fans to create Instagram videos involving their song for the Eurovision Song Contest 2017, “Hey Mamma!”. They are asking fans to make the most creative video using their song and then post it with the hashtag #HeyMammaDance. The winner of the competition will receive a promo CD, t-shirts and a poster signed by the group.
Since winning O Melodie Pentru Europa 2017, Sunstroke Project have traveled across Europe promoting their song for this years Eurovision Song Contest.The group has already traveled to Greece, Romania, Estonia , Lithuania and Israel, appearing at national selections and on local media. They will be performing at Eurovision in Concert tomorrow, as well as the Madrid Pre Party next weekend.
Sunstroke Project last participated in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2010 alongside Olia Tira, they qualified for the final with “Runaway” but finished 22nd. Since then they have attempted to represent Moldova at the contest on a further three occasions. In 2015 they narrowly missed out on returning the contest finishing 3rd in the national final.
Moldova are hoping that Sunstroke Project will be able to take the country back to the final of the Eurovision Song Contest having last performed in a final in 2013. Moldova debuted in the contest 12 years ago when the contest was last held in Kyiv.

Moldova debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2005 when the contest was last held in Kyiv, Ukraine. In 2005 Moldova debuted in the contest alongside Bulgaria, while that year Hungary also returned to the contest having been absent since 1998. Moldova is currently in its worse run of results in their history in the contest, having failed to make the final since 2013. At the 2016 contest in Stockholm, the country finished 17th in their semi-final scoring a total of 33 points.
