Greece have revealed details about their National Final to select their Eurovision 2017 song for their entrant Demy.
The National Final will take place on March 6th at 22:00 CET, in which three candidate songs will be sung by the internally selected Demy. Both the diaspora jury and the public will vote on which song they think is best for the Eurovision Song Contest 2017.
The show, broadcast on ERT 1, will be hosted by Anthony Loudaros and Elena Bouzali. Cyprus’ Eurovision 2017 entrant Hovig will also be present at the show. The three songs Demy will be performing have been composed by Dimitris Kontopoulos, lyrics by John Ballard and Romy Papadea.
Recently, Demy has been in Odessa, Ukraine, filming the music videos for all three songs. All three songs are being performed in English, each song will be in a different style with one being a dance track and another a ballad, the style of the third song she said will be a surprise. Earlier this month, Demy recorded parts of her national selection entries with the ERT Orchestra.
Who is Demy?
Demy is a 25-year-old singer born in Athens, Greece. The singers first release “Μia Zografia” came in 2011 and immediately shot to popularity in Greece and Cyprus, the song was performed alongside “Μidenistis”. The singers first solo single was released in 2012, titled “Poses Xiliades Kalokairia” it featured on her debut album titled “1”, the album topped the charts in Greece. To date she has released two albums and performed on 19 singles

In 2005 Helena Paparizou returned to the Eurovision stage this time as a solo artist and took Greece to victory in Kyiv.
