What was it that made you decide to submit “Perfect Villain” to compete in UMK?

Last summer my producer played me the song and I started to cry and I fell in love with it immediately. That’s when I knew this is the song I’m participating in Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu with and this is the song I want to take to the Eurovision.

What can we expect from your performance?

My performance is going to be fierce and powerful! Especially the beginning is going to be something that I don’t remember anyone has ever done before.

Can you tell us more about the song “Perfect Villain” and the message of it?

Perfect Villain is a song about a complicated relationship that is really hard to let go of. It is about two opposing forces which complete and need each other but at the same time their relationship consumes them. .

Who do you think is the “Perfect Villain”?

It means different things to different people. To some people it can be their current or former companion or it can even be yourself.

What would representing your country at Eurovision mean to you?

It would mean a great deal and honor to me. I love my home country and representing Finland would be unforgettable.

Now to round off here’s a fun question: You are stranded on a desert island you are allowed one thing, what would it be and why?

I would bring my phone! I would call my friends and family and invite them to enjoy a holiday with me! 😉
