Tonight the final of the Eurocasting stage of Spain’s Eurovision 2017 selection takes place, with three artists competing for a place in the Spanish national final.
Spain will select one artist to compete in Objetivo Eurovisión 2017 tonight as the public round of the countries selection comes to an end. Three artists have made it through to the final tonight from a total of 392 submissions. Now the public will select just one singers to go on to compete in Objetivo Eurovisión 2017 on February 1, and possibly make it all the way to Kyiv, Ukraine this May.
Taking part in the final of Eurocasting are:
- LeKlein – Ouch!
- Fruela – Live it up
- Javian – No somos heroes
Voting in the final of Eurocasting will be open to both those within and outside of Spain during the 15 minutes that voting is open. Viewers will be able to vote once for the act they want to see in the Spanish national final via the Eurovisión RTVE.es App as well as on the RTVE Eurocasting website here.

During the final of Eurocasting, the artists who have been internally selected by RTVE to compete in the Spanish final will be revealed to the public. Furthermore Azúcar Moreno and David Rees will be performing during the voting period. David Rees is a young singer who had a viral hit during December 2016 in which he performed a compilation of hit songs from 2016. He will perform a compilation of Eurovision Song Contest hits. Azúcar Moreno who represented Spain at the Eurovision Song Contest 1990 will be performing and will be performing their entry “Bandido”.

Spain has won the contest on two occasions the first being in 1961 and the second time in 1969. 1969 is the only year where more than one song has won the contest, the 1969 contest saw a four-way tie between Spain, France, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. Since 2000 Spain has only managed to finish in the top.10 on five occasions, the last time being in 2014 with Ruth Lorenzo.
