The third episode of Rising Star, the Israeli selection process for Eurovision 2017 airs tonight as the audition rounds progress.
Rising Star continues tonight in Israel as the selection moves into its second week. For the first few episodes of Rising Star, the singers will be auditioning to make it through to the next round. For singers to qualify for the next round they must receive over 70% approval from the audience and the judges. The judges can provide up to 40% of the vote, while the remaining 60% is decided by the audience.

- Imri Ziv (93% votes)
- Beatbox Element (91% votes)
- Sapir Nahon (88% votes)
- Judy Layne (81% votes)
- Lee Sabach (79% votes)
- Osher Biton (77% votes)
- Hallelujah “Halli” Lewis (77% votes)
- Ta-La-Te (75% votes)
On the jury for Rising Star are:
- Asaf Amadursky
- Harel Skaat – Represented Israel at the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 in Oslo, Norway
- Keren Peles
- Static
- Ben-El Tavori
The contest is being hosted by Rotem Sela, Assi Azar and Yael Goldman. A total of 10 shows will be broadcast over the series, the date of the final show of Rising Star 2017 has not yet been announced.

The fourth episode of Rising Star will be aired tomorrow night where more artists will be taking to the stage hoping to make it all the way to Kyiv.

Israel’s first victory came in 1978 with Izar Cohen and the Alphabeta, Israel won again the following year represented by Gali Atari & Milk and Honey. Israel’s most recent victory came in 1998 when Dana International performed “Diva” in Birmingham, she beat Malta to victory in a tense voting sequence.
