The three singers who will be competing in the final of the Eurocasting round of Spain’s Eurovision 2017 selection process have been revealed.
TVE has revealed the names of the three artists and their songs who will be vying for a place in the final of Spain’s selection process. They are:
- LeKlein – Ouch!
- Fruela – Live it up
- Javian – No somos heroes
Ten acts were in the running for a place in the final of the Eurocasting round, they were:
- Brequette Cassie – No Enemy
- Fruela – Live It Up
- Javian – No somos heroes
- LeKlein – Ouch!
- Nicky Triphook – Daddy’s Little Girl
- Nieves Hidalgo – Esclava
- Nito – Luna
- Pedro Elipe – Del dolor
- Rebeca Moss – Volvere por ti
- Romy Low – In Love
A total of 392 songs were submitted to the selection, from which 30 songs were selected to go through to the Eurocasting round. These 30 songs were voted on by the Spanish public, with the 10 songs receiving the highest number of votes progressing. These 10 songs were listened to by a jury who then decided the 3 going into the final.
The final of the Eurocasting round will take place on January 12. The selection is being broadcast live online with the public deciding the singer going through to the national final. Spain’s national final is taking place on February 1, with a number of artists selected by TVE competing for the right to sing at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Kyiv, Ukraine.

Spain has won the contest on two occasions the first being in 1961 and the second time in 1969. 1969 is the only year where more than one song has won the contest, the 1969 contest saw a four-way tie between Spain, France, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. Since 2000 Spain has only managed to finish in the top.10 on five occasions, the last time being in 2014 with Ruth Lorenzo.
